OK I know what you are thinking, " Why do I have to read the stupid rules every time I join a new site?" Well I always feel the very same way but on the other hand they are there to be read for a reason. Rules just help to keep everything simple, they also help everything stay organized. On top of everything they settle conflicts, either between a member and another member or a member and staff. Conflicts are always settled according to the rules, not personal opinions. *wink* Also there is a password hidden in this set of rules that you will need for your character's bio *wink*!
Out of Character Rules:
- Be respectful of staff! I can not stress this enough. The admin took her time creating this site, without me it would not exist. Staff are also the ones who keep the site under control and active, why ruin it for everyone else?
- No racism, sexual offense, or harassment of any kind. This is something I just will not put up with and will cause some serious punishment to be handed out, including permanent ban.
- Please keep the cursing to a minimum on the OOC boards. It's just not necessary at all.
- Do NOT spam on any of the boards, this includes the cbox! I will not just allow this to happen, a warning will be given for the first offense and then harsher punishment will be dealt if I see no change in your actions
- Nothing pornographic or of sexual nature will be allowed on this site. Make sure avatars and other things are appropriate.
- No long user names. Please set your user name as your character's names.
In Character:
Posting
- I want everyone to enjoy this site. However, there is a 200 word post minimum. This really is not that much, a good two or three paragraphs should do you good.
- No Godmoding (stronger than everyone else) or Powerplaying (controlling other characters) is allowed on this site.
- Use the spell check! Its there for a reason, we don't want every other word misspelled it just looks sloppy. Also no IM speak: U r de best, she said 2 him. Its just not professional.
- Lyrics/Poems/Quotes will not be counted in the post count.
- You may play in 1st or 3rd person. I have no real preference.
- Post once in a thread and then wait for a reply. If you need to add something before a reply then modify your previous post.
- Keep swearing to a minimum, but its not looked down upon as much when you are in character.
Character
- Both dogs and wolves are permitted. Take your pick!
- This is a realistic role play, the canines do not have mystic powers or purple fur. Keep it realistic please.
- Mutts and hybrids are allowed, they don't have to be purbred pooches.
- No perfect characters. All characters have flaws, get creative.
- One character per account please. Its just easier to keep track of who's posting as who.
- When creating a character please use the form provided.
Reproduction
- Breeding can begin when your character reaches the age of two.
- No graphic breeding will be allowed. All you really have to do is mount, do your thing, and dismount. You can even fade to black or skip until after the mating is done, just do NOT post any deep description of the mating. If you absolutely must for some reason than take it to PMs.
- Breeding season will be in the summer and winter, no exceptions.
- Litters shall be from 1-4 pups. We need to keep War Unwritten's population under control.
- Pup stats will be handed out by the Admin, or someone with the proper power to do so.
- You must use the proper form in order to receive pups.
- Not all of the pups will be healthy, this is to keep things realistic. Not all of them may make it and even then some might have things that are wrong with them.
- Pups are not born until fall or spring time9spring for winter breedings and fall for summer breedings), so you may not play them till then, though you may get the pup stats right away.
- Breeding can happen anywhere, there is no specific board.
Fighting
- Fights will be judged by a staff member with the power to do so.
- Fights are allowed to happen anywhere, just make sure to inform the Admin.
- Only one doge and two attacks each will be allowed, meaning a total of two or three posts per person.
- Wounds and your rping will help decide the judge's decision on the winner of the fight. A pre-decided winner will be an exception, depending if both members agreed on the winner of the fight.
Packs
- Anyone can make a pack.
- The canine must be atleast 3 yeasr old to be the alpha of a pack.
- Once you make a claim post in one of the boards contact the admin so he/she can accept it.
- The alphs of the pack makes there own rules for there pack, as long as they don't go against site rules.
- Leaders can kick out one of there own in the pack so don't come crying to staff.
- You must make a claim to take land on the boards! Alert a staff member once a claim is made so that they can post it in the information of that board.
Seasons
- Each season on War unwritten is equal to three real life weeks.
- Summer & Winter are breeding seasons.
Spring & Fall are birthing seasons. - Four seasons equal one full WU year. The secret word is: envy {you will need it when you create your character)
