Dark had finally fallen. The stars could be seen through the cracks in the roof of the building. Cody hadn't expected to be confronted with a canine at this hour. He wanted to sleep but he wasn't planning on sticking around here for that now. No, he would probably move on to somewhere else. After all Luna was here first therefor she had the right to stay. Maybe he would head to one of the old houses and nap on a dust covered matress. It would be much more comfortable compared to the cold floor.
Cody listened to Luna as she spoke about her worship of wolves again. He nodded, they definatly got different impressions. Then the question was finally spoken. The question that Cody had senced was coming. The question he knew Luna was dying to ask...."Have you always had that limp?"
Cody looked down and thought through the possible answers. He could lie and say yes. But then what would he say if she asked more questions. Or there was the truth,no. However, that might provoke further questioning as well. Cody rolled his eyes and raised his great head to level with Luna's. "No," he said swallowing, "No I haven't." Memories came back to him from that day he was attacked by his good friend. He quickly turned his head away and made it look like he had a sudden itch or something.
